Meet Michelle, Our Area Manager

 

Michelle joined our team in September 2021, bringing a wealth of experience from a background in childcare, transitioning into the exciting world of playwork. Since making the switch, she has truly embraced the role and found her passion.

Her inspiration for playwork was ignited by Becci and the opportunity to meet other dedicated Playwork Professionals at the Playwork Conference in 2023. These experiences opened her eyes to the depth and importance of playwork, enriching her practice and strengthening her commitment to the field. As a Level 5 qualified playworker, Michelle is now looking to develop her professional journey further by exploring education and training, aiming to support staff development within the field.

For Michelle, play is all about giving children the freedom to explore their ideas in a safe space while facilitating a world filled with imagination. She believes her role is to nurture that creative environment and support children in realizing their potential.

Outside of work, Michelle loves spending time with her family. One of their fondest childhood memories is exploring the mountains with her cousins, going for bike rides and enjoying picnics.
